报告人简介:

Wilson C. Chin(陈伟信)earned his Ph.D. from M.I.T. and M.Sc. from Caltech in fluid mechanics, physics and applied math. His interests include rheology, MWD, formation testing, electromagnetics and reservoir engineering. He has published over twenty books with John Wiley & Sons and Elsevier Science, authored about one hundred papers and four dozen patents, and is recipient of five national awards from the United States Department of Energy.

Dr. Chin’s company Stratamagnetic Software, LLC (please visit www.stratamagnetic.com), for example, designed Halliburton’s “iCem” and “Displace 3D” cementing software, its “GeoTap” real-time permeability prediction formation testing software, and Schlumberger’s and BakerHughes’ MWD “mud sirens.” Mr. Chin has worked extensively with Chinese companies. At Sinopec and CNPC, he supervised MWD “long wind tunnel” and “siren” development. He is also responsible for COSL’s formation testing algorithms, for real-time downhole permeability prediction.

报告内容摘要:

报告一:针对大斜度井和水平井中高速MWD遥测面临的脉冲波衰减、涡轮叶片侵蚀、声波混响和反射干扰问题,介绍脉冲器设计、风洞模拟和抗干扰反射信号处理方面的最新进展。

报告二:针对非均质、各向异性地层多孔介质特性表征,在回顾传统地层测试技术的基础上,介绍一种新型多探头地层测试仪器,即在每个方位探头上记录“压力与时间”曲线,其中探头的数量从2到12,每一个都独立运行,具有不同的流量、喷嘴几何形状、启停时间,这些压力波形包含渗透率、各向异性、压缩性、孔隙度和孔隙压力等信息,通过反演可以得到多孔介质的相关特性。
