SWPU Professors Admitted RSC Fellows

Recently, Professor Yu Hua from School of New Energy and Materials of Southwest Petroleum University received certificate granted by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), being elected as a RSC fellow.

Founded in 1841, the Roal Society of Chemisty is the world's most established chemical society and the largest leading chemical community in Europe, and also one of the most influential and authoritative international academic organizations. RSC Fellows include nearly 80 Nobel Prize winners. Every year, RSC selects scientists who have achived extraordinary success in the international chemical research field and contributed to the benefits and welfare of the chemical sciences as Fellows.

Yu Hua has engaged in the research of photoelectric conversion materials and devices at the Center for Clean Environment and Energy at Griffith University, Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at the University of Queensland, and has long been committed to the application of nano-film materials in the new generation of photovoltaic technology and in carbon neutral field. Till now, Yu Hua has published more than 70 papers in the internationally renowned academic journals like Advanced materials, Advanced Energy MaterialsChemistry of MaterialsNano EnergyNano ResearchJournal of Energy Chemistry, Chemical Engineering JournalEcoMat as the first author or corresponding author. In addition, he has authorized more than 10 patents both at home and abroad, published 2 monographs and been Guest Editor of SCI journals like Crystal, Journal of Nanomaterials, etc..

As early as April this year, Professor Zhou Ying from School of New Energy and Materials of Southwest Petroleum University was admitted as the Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry .

Professor Zhou Ying is the Humboldt Research Fellow in Germany and JSPS Invited Scholar in Japan. He has long engaged in the research of conversion and utilization of carbon-based energy, the high-value utilization of hydrogen energy and hydrogen sulfide resources, and has published more than 160 papers in journals such as Science Bulletin, Nature Communications, etc., which have been cited more than 7,000 times. With an H index of 51, Zhou Ying has been selected by Elsevier as China Highly Cited Scholar in succession since 2020, and authorized more than 30 patents both at home and abroad.
